ABOUT ME

PHILOSOPHY

"odio gli indifferenti: vivo, sono partigiano. perciò odio chi non parteggia, odio gli indifferenti"

"I hate who's indifferent: I live, I'm a partisan. So I hate those who do not take a stand, I hate the indifferent."

(Antonio Gramsci, founder of the Italian Communist Party, dead in fascist prisons)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met several people travelling during the last year with Couch Surfing: some of them really changed the perspective of my trip, maybe of the entire experience. Actually, I've been hosted just 2 times, and I've never hosted anyone because for now I can't. Sometimes I enjoy CS events.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES
all by almodovar, mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, hable con ella & todo sobre mi madre over all,
italian films from fellini, bertolucci etc
wim wenders, der himmel uber berlin,
mute (buster keaton, chaplin's etc)
quentin tarantino and those disgusting, trashy and genial b - movies that have inspired such "er monnezza" or "napoli violenta"!

BOOKS
I like women talking about women (I confess, I'm a feminist), such as doris lessing's "golden notebook", virginia woolf, ursula k. le guin, gioconda belli, Jeannette Winterson, Helen Humpreys etc etc

I love Jane Austen and all of those heavy, boring, marvellous novels as from Mikajil Bulgakov, the Master and Margaret (my favourite book ever!)
Marcel Proust, Dostoevskij, Kundera, Hrabal, Céline and Italo Calvino

MUSIC
- lot of it, Siouxsie and the Banshees, MBV, Cocteau Twins, Belle and Sebastian, sad blues ladies like Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington and obviusly Janis Joplin
- songwriters as bob dylan, wilco, violent femmes, fabrizio de andrè.
- the CLASH!
- riot girrrls (sleatear-kinney, bikini kill, le tigre, hole, ZULOAK... angry women!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm always embarrassed by questions like this.

Teach, Learn, Share

learn:
I'm opened to almost everything, because other people always fascinates my and I think I'm good listener.

teach:
- how to prepare a real neapolitan coffee;
- where you can eat and drink well in naples spending the less you can;
- boring and disgusting things about how your inner body works and why your mind plays tricks on you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Maldives, Monaco, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
