About Me

I am a very active member of CS!!
I live in San Luis Potosí since 3 years now. I am an engineer and have also volunteered three times in my life and enjoyed it a lot. My travel experience includes all 32 states in Mexico (sleeping at least one night in all of them, accomplished on July 27th 2012); 12 contries in Europe, the USA (most of the east coast from Miami to NY city and San Francisco, Chicago & Portland on the west coast), the Bahamas and a bit of Guatemala. Usually, I am a solo traveler, started 7 years ago and loved it since then. I am very enthusiatic about mingling with people from all the countries and backgrounds and have made good friends so far. My personality enjoys adventure so much. I have become an addict to traveling alone all around Mexico with my backpack to hostels, budget hotels or CS'er homes... when it comes to being adaptable, meeting amicable people, eating strange food or discovering a hidden lovely town... I am always there. I have been to many places that are not in the travel guidebooks and have been really amazed.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat other people as you would like to be treatead. That's the golden rule.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: In my opinion, nothing compares to being in a place with live music. I like mostly all kind of music: CUMBIA, electronic kuduro, nortec, electronic cumbia, rock, indie, alternative, ska, classical, country, blue grass, salsa, vallenato, merengue... whatever that is live.
Books: I love non-fiction books about adventures and travelers and adventurers, the ones about times of ancient mexican people (prehispanic times), Urantia Book, la Reina del Sur and Travel guides.
Movies: Indie documentaries, shorts and videos. Life is beautiful, Y tu mamá también, Slumdog Millionare, Shawshank Redemption, Der Himmer uber Berlin, Gegen die Wand, The Matrix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Birthday celebration in a club inside a silver mine, the best town party in the world (Jerez Judas Burning), Bull chasing in San Miguel, Carnaval in Tepoztlán, World Cup in Berlin, Finals of the Charro and Rodeo National Championships, survival on a serious car accident, two international English certificates, and final of National Soccer Tournament in my city. It was awesome!

Camping among eagles, wales and coyotes in a desert dune-full island in the pacific ocean. Touching and playing with a wild gray whale and her baby for 30 minutes. Swiming at night with luminiscent plancton (insane). The great feeling of getting to know all the states of my beautiful Mexico (July 2012). Breaking at least once one bone in all my four limbs (I have broken my femurs 3 times). Learnig to walk 3 times in my life. Walking among thousands of flying monarch butterflies in a sanctuary near my home city (3 times). Climbing to 4500 m (14763 feet) and see sunrise from there. Seeing wild life and climbing all main temples in Calakmul. Navigate Usumacinta river on a beautiful afternoon to amazing archelogic site of Yaxchilán. Meeting great CS people in regional meetings in northern and central Mexico. I was once invited last minute by a Lacandon family (native group from the mexican jungle) to be part of a double-birthday party in Chiapas. Organized a trip with 20 other CSers to Chiapas and Guatemala and see an amazing huge red full moon rise and stars while we were on the boat on the Usumacinta river at night with silhouettes of the Guatemala and Mexico jungles on each side with thouseand of fireflies. Being on top of the main Structure Temple in Tikal on a beautiful sunset. Touring a drug lords cemetery in the mexican drug dealers capital: Culiacan. My floating 33 birthday party with +70 CSers in Xochimilco Chanals (one CS girl fall into one of the water channels).
