Unfortunately I cannot offer a couch, but I would love to meet new people and show them around Bloemfontein; perhaps grab a drink or two?

Interests

I love reading, as well as going hiking and seeing new places. I can play a few chords on the guitar, but not well enough that many people will have heard me (not very confident yet). My current challenge is learning to make chain mail jewelry.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any book from Lindsay Buroker. Seriously, the woman's a genius when it comes to steampunk writing. I'm also in the process of procuring all books written by Terry Pratchett. I like fantasy books the most, though I would read nearly any type of fiction. I don't read much non-fiction, reality is hard enough...

I listen to nearly all kinds of music, though not a big fan of jazz and country. As far as movies go, action, adventure, sci-fi, comedy, musicals... Bring it on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went hiking in the Drakensberg once, and one morning when we crested, the entire view, as far as the eye could see, was covered in a blanket of clouds. There were also clouds overhead, so that it felt as if we were flouting somewhere in the middle of the sky. The sun was only slightly above the horizon, shining into the gap where we were. It was a sight that will stay with me forever.
