About Me

I'm very chill and love to joke around. I work a lot, but I love my job! I enjoy: street photography, cooking , spending time with my dog in the nature, taking road trips with my girlfriend in the van, art in most forms (theater, cinema, paintings, etc.) mesmerizes me.

Generally, I believe I'm a very balanced person. I'm empathetic, compassionate, altruistic, and patient. But, I'm not the "Flight" or "Freeze" type.

I'm an advocate for the social innovation industry, focused on supporting social entrepreneurs confront challenges to scaling their social and environmental impact solutions.

Learning is a hobby, biology, psychology, physics, permaculture, and philosophy. Hemmingway, Kafka, Tom Robbins.

Music: Sublime, the Beatles, Mos Def, Hendrix.. Joplin! ugh... I just can't. Let's just hang out and talk music

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love to meet new and interesting people. Now, my wife, Lotte, and I are traveling to India, so we're looking for hosts and activities to immerse ourselves in the local culture and really absorb India in the most organic way possible.

I have hosted, surfed and participated in grouped events. I often tell people about couchsurfing and how someone came up with the idea of organizing all the coolest people around the world on one website. I have couchsurfed in just 4 countries, but I have been so lucky to have met so many amazing people.

Interests

I really love: meeting new people, back packing, traveling, swimming, gardening, cooking, climbing, photography, music, building things with my hands, working out, my dog, volunteering, a good party, I love to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music... from Skrillex to The Beatles and everything in-between. If it has good lyrics and/or a nice rhythm I will listen to it... but even better to dance!

Love movies.. making, watching, independent and studio. Not even going there...

Mostly fiction and philosophy, Tom Robbins has a great book called Jitterbug perfume (fiction), teaching of Krishnamurti (non-fiction), Tom Clancy novels like Rainbow 6 and Teeth of the Tiger (Fiction). Just finished One Shot by Lee Child...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands off the east of India. You know those TukTuks or Rickshas (three wheeled taxi, driver in the front and normally room for three at the most four in the back)?

yeah, so this island had about 600 people in total and about 15 tourists. There was only one rickshaw available at this time of night where we were, and we were taking it into the jungle.... with 11 people! If you have ever been in one of these things, I know your saying "impossible. Well, it's not. (Hmmm... well, technically it is impossible, because it broke down after about 3 kil) and we were stranded in the jungle!! Luckily it was only a short walk to the taxi guys house where he offered us to sleep that night... we arrived to his home, I meet his father... who has huge bite marks on his chest from when he was attacked by a crocodile while bathing in the river. Ten minutes later, I am standing at the same river getting ready to clean myself.

standing in front of that water, 2am pitch black, looking into the black motionless jungle river, in the middle of nowhere. Took a couple deep breaths, and jumped in.

You know how you feel after a long sweaty day of doing working your ass off and you take a shower or bath... that feeling you get? Imagine how I felt after that day, and experience. It was... a unique experience and feeling.

amazing

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Learn: I want to learn about cultures and people from all walks of life. As I travel I look to share my experiences with new people I meet so that they might have a better vision of the world we share.

I share with you this:
With an open heart and a quite mind, there are no doors.
