About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn as much as possible, listen and learn from others, while sharing my own stories and experiences.

ABOUT ME

I love life! I am curious to learn about different countries, different languages and different people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Anything is possible, you know it, so live by it. To be able to always look on the positive side of life because after all, tomorrow brings another day.

Everyone needs and deserves: Love, family, friends, education, healthy diet, clean water.

Surfing and Hosting

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in London and in rural Germany and both were great experiences. I would like to share more experiences, stories, and of course, my couch in the big worldwide club, but all in due time.

Interests

Riding my bicycle to get around everywhere in the city, basketball, blogging, breakdancing, photography, discussing the importance of being awesome, gardening and eating the resulting free food, cooking that same food with some rice, fish or some noodles. If I could cook a delicious meal without ever having to wash the resulting dishes, I would be one happy camper. I also like quinoa because it is so versatile and is very healthy. But it could just be the flavour of the month. My favourite drink: Water!

Music, Movies, and Books

Forrest Gump.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Fuji in a typhoon. I got my revenge two years later though and hiked it again with a sunrise!
Biked 150 kilometres through Germany in a single day.
Sold Chai in front of the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, India. I was an actor in a German play for 3 shows!

Teach, Learn, Share

素晴らしい。also written as すばらしい。
Reading:Subarashii.

Japanese word for "Wonderful"

Pronounciation is soo-bah-rah-shii. OR suu-ba-ra-she. When you say the word try not to have any pause between each syllable. Try not to sound like a robot because that would be too strong of an accent. The Japanese accent is often very flat and one tone. When you say the final "shii" sound for example in "Subarashii", you shouldn't have a wide mouth like the "ee" sound in the word "cheese." Unless you are reved up on Ripobitan D genki drink in Japan whilst playing some video games in Akihabara after just having won a soft stuffed toy animal, then you should say Subarashiiiiiiiiiii. and make a face like: (^_^) cute eh?

I love that Japanese word. So now you know that Japan is subarashii!
