About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is too good to live it seated in one place. Run, ride, fly, dive, go!

ABOUT ME

Soooo, my life was really stable: family nearby, house, job I thoroughly enjoyed, friends, etc. and then I decided to shake things up a bit. I have sold all my possessions (besides a few boxes of favorite books and my 2 suitcases) and have bought a one-way ticket to Europe. "I'm leaving on a jet-plane. Don't know when I'll be back again." You know, just as life calms down, you gotta drink another Red Bull -- it gives you wiiings!

I am genuine, kind, honest, thoughtful, creative, and adventurous. I love listening to others tell their life stories, as well as teach me new things!

I am currently living in Graz, Austria: a lovely city/town (the 2nd largest in Austria). My heart truly lies in Austria where I have lived previously for 2 years and where my family originates. I enjoy reading, cooking, cycling, yoga, and most importantly, interacting with other people over a cup of coffee or a delicious meal.

My ideal day includes waking early for a run or a bike ride, a hearty breakfast with coffee, the newspaper and a friend, a farmers market and sightseeing, afternoon coffee, and cooking a meal with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Love God. Love People. Live Simply. I want to be a solution to the problem.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed for the first time last summer with a friend through the Balkans and then this past summer I surfed through Iceland, France, and Switzerland. I'd love to take my hosts to drinks/dinner/coffee and learn about them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time last summer with a friend through the Balkans. What an amazing experience of hospitality and cultural exchange!

Who knew that we'd hear one french woman's tales (and fears) of getting "rapped" (as she said it) while hitchhiking from France to New Zealand. She was the best storyteller I've ever met!

Interests

Photography, cooking, baking, biking, swimming, traveling, backpacking, stopping to smell the roses, drinking coffee and wine, dancing, learning new languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While learning how to drive a manual car (stick shift) in South Africa's Kruger National Park, I almost got run over by a black rhino. I was so scared that I couldn't get the car into gear! He left me in peace and I drove away ... eventually.
