About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to crucify the ego

ABOUT ME

Others said:

"Mr. Horompoli is an outstanding person, person of the year since he was born!"
(Time magazine)

"He is my best friend."
(My best friend)

"Он был каскадёром в немецких порнофильмах."
(газета.ру)

"Such a useless stupid, I only hang out with him to gain some self-confidence, because this guy is a total mess."
(My another best friend)

PHILOSOPHY

"Oho!' said the pot to the kettle;
"You are dirty and ugly and black!
Sure no one would think you were metal,
Except when you're given a crack."

"Not so! not so! kettle said to the pot;
"'Tis your own dirty image you see;
For I am so clean -without blemish or blot-
That your blackness is mirrored in me"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see what's under the hood. To let in and to be let in.

Interests

Unusual, yet complete and smooth music, electronic and metal, monotonous and strange timing, all good. I, too have a band where I play the guitar. But you are never going to hear about us.

Contemporary anything, exhibitions, architecture, music.

This year I tried theater improv, body contact improv, a social dance (bachata) and also took a course on Vipassan meditation. I eat low-carb for lunch (not very strict on this one when I'm on the road ;))

Mentioning my job title (software testing) makes people stop asking question about it, haha.
Working in IT is not like that all people know all answers and they all know what to do and they are there just to do it. For a developer (the ultimate geek in the public eye) there are many, many of ways creating the code and eventually they have to choose one. They have to come up smart ideas all the time, solving puzzles all day. And testing is learning quickly about what they came up with.

I like and dislike going out of my comfort-zone at the same time, any challenge is welcome I might not do them all ;)

So, we can talk and do any of these or something completely new. I'd like to go go-karting one day for example.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Talking with a "professor" from Turkeminstan on my way from Iran to Turkey about the similarities between the greek, latin, english, german and turk languages. He had a suit with him on the bus and said he was invited to a conference but very much looked like an almost homeless person. Very intelligent though, I still have his books about the languages. Also, he couldn't really decide where to get off from the bus, Ankara or Istanbul. He went with Ankara at the end. I never asked him if he forgot where the conference would be. I wish him well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iran, Myanmar, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine
