About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share my enthusiasm for life with others.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in south london as a child of French and Polish parents, so speak four languages fluently (Italian is the last, learnt on Erasmus). One of my favourite artists is Van Gogh and one of my favourite musicians is Chet Baker. When I was seventeen I did an interrail trip to Italy and fell in love with the country, leading to an amazing year as an Erasmus student in Padova. I study physics with a specialisation in subnuclear and plasma physics but it only defines my personality in the fact that I spend a fair amount of my life doing it, Im however enthusiastic to explain quirky or misunderstood theories to people (do you know how you can tell a boiled egg from a raw one without breaking it....?)

I now work in an energy company, and can tell you as much as you want to know about how electricity is made. I live in Paris, and my passion is motorcycling, it affords an incredible amount of freedom.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy responsibly, but enjoy to the max.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Enjoy hosting and being hosted in new places. CS never fails to bring me the joy of meeting exceptional people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first two tripsw were in diametrically opposed directions, Oslo and Malta. Both were a thrilling experience reaffirming my belief that humans can help each other out of a wider principle than self interest.

Since then I have surfed couches repeatedly in Limoges, and visited Barcelona. Each new experience was wholly positive and much more fun than any form of commercial hospitality.

Interests

I speak a few languages and the interests in the cultures follow from that. Im especially interested in the way culture is reflected though the culinary traditions.

I enjoy art, and encourage my guests to also get in touch with their creative side (...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Monet's waterlily paintings in the Orangerie in Paris, I reckon it is amongst the best art ever made.

Understanding General Relativity (for about two weeks before my exam, it was brief, but it was mindblowing!)
