About Me

I am a Brazilian guy, originally from Rio, lived almost 10 years in The Netherlands and currently I just moved to London. Looking forward to make new friends with like minded people.

I love to meet new people and, of course, traveling. That's why I enjoy so much the ideals of this group. Usually I am working and some times busy but I can show some interesting places to you, I like both cultural places and enjoy the night life. Actually I enjoy very much the night life!

In case I am surfing with you I would love to go to local concerts that you might know in your town :) Good music (I am pretty open) plays a good role in my life.

If you have any more doubts you can read my references and send me a message! :)

I am thankful to always learn the good thing from others and always be prepared to help others. To illustrate that I like to quote "The natural law of the Meetings" that is part of an amazing Brazilian song called "Mistério do Planeta". If you don´t know it, look it up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am ready to help people from any part of the world to know better the city I live in and maybe offer a place to stay some days.

In 2010 I started a personal project. To know as much as I can from my country, visiting at least one main city from our 27 states... And since that I've been making progress with CS help. Last count brought be to near 70% of that, and I still need to see a lot! Huge country!

I had to temporarily interrupt the previous project due to my move to Europe, but then I would like to start another one, capitals in the world instead (not 27 but near 200)? :) that's still far from be completed... but that means a lot nice things to be explored in the near future :)

After I had my first CS hosting experience, I could notice that it was only starting into a new world of possibilities and I was glad to start with a very sympathy and friendly person. After that, I only had very friendly and nice guests, with very few exceptions.

Surfing or just "coffee or a drink", were such amazing experiences! Something that you only feel when being part of couch surfing, lots of interesting stories from people from all over the world, some unforgettable... and of course knowing the city with different eyes than a traditional tourist have.

Interests

Know different people from any part of the world. Learn from it and share a bit of my culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Talking about music...
I don’t know how to describe one music style but I like Rock (many variations of that), Popular Brazilian Music (MPB and your variations), Samba, many others Brazilian Musician not so popular, a part of electronic music, Reagee and Forró (typically Brazilian style that we dance in pairs).
Books and Movies related with science fiction and police are the best. Woody Allen, Almodovar... & Sherlock Holmes, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get to know Couch Surfing Project!
And some things like,
Travel more than 3 thousand kilometers to get in a Island in Pará state and pass New Years Eve there.
Jumped 10m down into a natural pool in a paradise place called "Sana" close to Rio de Janeiro city.
Hitchhiking during my trip in January 2011.
Being to Bolivia, the most beautiful country I´ve ever been.
Parque Tayrona (Colombia, near Santa Marta) has the most beautiful beaches with just perfect weather and water temperature, including an amazing nudist beach :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share about my country culture and want to learn even more different languages. I can teach how to prepare a good Caipirinha and some Brazilian meals (have you heard about Feijoada? ) :)

Also hear from you about your culture. It can be music, philosophy, religious (I am not religious but I am curious!), food, drinks...

What I Can Share with Hosts

It's ´pretty much what I have said so far :)
