About Me

Just an ordinary person doing my best to live an interesting life, while attempting to cover my general needs for cultural stimulants and cups of good coffee.

I live with my girlfriend in the town of Vejle at the East coast of Jylland.

My friends tell me that I am a happy and outgoing person and I generally tend to believe in them. I can cope with most kinds of people as long as they are friendly and honest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me CS is a way to remind myself that there is more to the world than simply just YOURS and MINE.
I have traveled a lot and surfed a few couches now and then, and I am always happy provide other people with the same kind of hospitality as I have received so often myself.

! IMPORTANT !
No empty requests please. If you like to stay with me, please tell me one interesting thing about the place you are coming from.

Interests

I have a big fascination with languages and the way words can carry meaning and ideas.

Medieval - and early history and culture. I have spend several years playing in various early musical orchestras.

Music and stage art is a big part of my life. I play several instruments but my main instrument is the hurdy-gurdy (In Danish: drejelire, German: Drehleier, French: Vielle a roue, Spanish: Zanfoña., Italien: Ghironda and the list goes on... look it up.)

Music, Movies, and Books

My choice of music depends on the situation so everything from Jazz over electronic, traditional and classical music etc. works on me.

Sci-Fi series and British comedy for the win! Doctor Who, Star Trek, Firefly, Black Adder, Black Books etc.

Books: The Pillars of the Earth as well as anything by H. P. Lovecraft.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing my first opera ever at the Большой театр (Bolshoi Theater) in Moscow made a great impression on me. It later made me spend a year at university studying Russian language.

Teach, Learn, Share

I cen tell you about my instrument and music, but since it usually comes up as a topic I am not counting it...
We can share a beer if you like. I can also teach you how to roast your own coffee or perhaps tell you a thing or two about good whiskey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope that I can leave a little something that will make things changes in an interesting and positive way.

If I am traveling with my instrument I will be happy to show you or perhaps even give a small concert. - Ever head of a hurdy-gurdy before ?
