About Me

CURRENT MISSION

do it all - see it all - meet them all - taste it all !

ABOUT ME

Norwegian air hostess currently residing in Sweden, working in Denmark, who doesn`t like to be stuck in one place for too long at a time!
Even my therapist says it`s about time I grow up and settle down. True story.

But I have only just got started!
Currently on the verge of having a nervous breakdown because I have now hit the big 3.0. I`m no longer in my twenties!
Seriously.
There are so many things I still want to do, but I am not sure if they are acceptable do as a 30year old?
As I really suck at saving up (I am a very skilled spender), my job is a blessing, as I can just catch a flight to Tokyo/bangkok/New york/Random for the weekend, without it costing me a fortune.
Marry me, fly for free!

I left Oslo, Norway on my 18th birthday because I was bored and restless (story of my life),
stayed in London for 7 years, then somehow decided that Copenhagen should be my new hometown, despite never ever even visiting the city.
I stayed there for 3 years and now I live across the bridge, on the Swedish side of the border, in Malmö.
Malmöi is mainly infamous due to the amount of murders in recent years.
I witnessed one myself whilst out on a second date last summer. True story. The relationship was doomed to fail.

I have developed a bad habit of eating chocolate for breakfast, spooning my cat at night, getting random tattoos, waking up in Bangkok; surrounded by cheeseburgers/glowsticks/beer bottles/a stranger, and not remembering how it/they got there, going to bed after sunrise/waking up after sunset, wasting my life away watching illegaly downloaded films and sulking because I want to be anywhere but home.

I come across as reserved and negative at times; it`s just because I ridiculously bad at small talk (despite it being my job) and because not everyone understands my humour.
But I love all sorts of people and their flaws (I just dont appreciate my own), and I love sharing random stories about random events.

I compensate my lack of small talking skills by talking way too much. You have been warned.
I also have a tendency of losing concept of time and appropriateness, and thus end up playing music very loud at 7am or start hoovering at midnight.

I blame my wanderlust and inability to settle down and itch for constantly being on the move, on my mixed viking and gipsy heritage (the latter also explains the lack of blonde hair).

I am not sporty and I don`t see the point in watching football/skiing/cykling/other.
I do, however, have an insatiable apetite for watching UFC and Muay Thai.
The fast pace and unpredictability really appeals to me.
If I didn`t have an injured shoulder, I would love to be a bad ass fighter. Maybe this can be blamed on my gipsy roots as well.

I grew up with a dad with a huge record collection, and I cannot live without my daily dose of soundwaves.
I listen to pretty much everything from quirky british indie to hip hop, but my fingers will always start tapping along to the beat of electronic music.

I am the world`s most annoying person to watch movies with. You have been warned.
I can predict the storyline of ANY american movie. It`s like a psychic ability I have. Plus, I am not a fan of happy endings.
Therefore, I try to avoid predictable american movies.

Spontaneity is my middle name (on facebook it is Quesadilla, but that`s a long story), and I pretty much never say no to;
*beer
*a last minute flight to wherever
*a dare to get random guy`s intitals tattoed.

My friends on facebook think I live a very exciting life, but to be honest, it is pretty much average.
My problem is, that I am very lazy but at the same time extremely restless.
So one day I might be aching to go do something crazy, and the next I just want to stay in bed and surf the internet. Just so that you know.
But I very rarely say no.

I am also pretty much incapable of making decisions.

Ok, this is starting to sound like a dating site-profile now.

Anyway; Hi! Nice to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever I write here, will end up sounding cheesy.

No fear-just regrets!
I`ll rather regret doing something, than regret not doing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Crashed a couch or two, hosted a party or two, hosted a surfer or three, arranged some meet-ups and am always up for a beer or five.

I`m a busy bee, but I try to hook up with CS`ers whenever I`m on the move, which have resulted in memories for life.

I also try to meet up with local CS`ers or host in my hotel whenever I`m around the world with work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in New York & Havana, CS meetings in Copenhagen and Rio, arranged some crazy CS beer-gatherings in Bangkok and met a lot of CS`ers at meet ups in Malmô, CS beer-hangouts around Europe and hosted in Malmö, Paris and San Francisco

Interests

Food, sleep, music, dancing, people and their stories, travel (obviously), synthesizers, cuban rhum, how to avoid having to wake up early, movies without happy endings, UFC, german music festivals and good times!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many.. Haitian festival in DomRep, burlesque club in NY, bachata in Harlem, passionfruit caipirinhas in Rio, floating around in Iceland´s blue lagoon, Norway´s amazing fjords & glaciers, german festivals in abandoned airfields from WW2, sitting in the cockpit on approach to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland and all the amazing people I`ve met along the way. Plus all the ones I don`t remember because maybe I was pretty drunk.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share bad jokes and dodgy stories, tips and tricks, good times and dancemoves, and I really need to learn to speak spanish one day, as my current vocabulary consists of only food- and drink related words.
