I'm Matheus or, simply, Mat.

I Couchsurf because CS never fails to connect me with truly incredible people. It’s so refreshing. I’ve been on CS since 2010 and It really is all about that connection.

I studied engineering and economics, today I work with neither.

I spent almost half of my life abroad. I can enjoy a big city, but I'm a small town boy at heart. I'm clean, organized and mindful of those around me. Oftentimes I bring my own sleeping bag. If I use your kitchen, I’ll buy food and I’ll try to leave everything cleaner than when I found it.

I practice yoga, triathlon, kayaking, diving, and enjoying going to the gym.

I derive much happiness from spending time in nature. National parks <3

Hiking, camping, mountaineering, climbing.

I've worked with 7-year-old kids and my best friend is 67. People can get along.

I can easily get hooked in long philosophical conversations. For hours. I’m serious. And yet, I can also appreciate a light-hearted-not-so-serious sense of humor :)

Some pictures are quite old (baby face :) I try to keep them here for the nice memories. I try to add pictures followed by the year they were taken.

I love animals.

I’m usually mindful of the people I spend time with. If I sent you a couch request or if I accepted yours, it’s because I truly would love to get to know you.
