About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Every day is a walk about.
ABOUT ME
Retired from nursing, worked in public health on the Navajo Indian reservation for 10 years, and then on the Arizona/Mexico border as a school nurse.
I like to draw and paint . I home I work in oils. When travel I like to carry a little Moleskin ( journal) to make sketches and jot down a thought or two, (mostly make sketches).
I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia and helped develop a women's knitting co-op.
Now I live in the small town of Patagonia, AZ 17 miles (27K) from the Mexican border
PHILOSOPHY
âÃâ¬ÃÅGo confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.âÃâ¬ÃÂ

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
love to have people come to my corner of the world, and enjoy meeting new friends thro CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only surfed once, and it was a great experience. I have been lucky enough to have Coachsurfers come and stay with me, which happily surprised me because I do live in an out of the way place. This is a great way to connect with people. I'm living proof that it's for all ages.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Almost any book on history., Books written by travelers, past and present. For example, Paul Theroux, (he's been everywhere); Robert Macfarlane, "The old ways. A journey on foot"; Tim Robinson, "Stones of Aran Pilgrimage"; Wilfred Thesiger, "Arabian Sands"; Marco Polo...
Movies: Amalie; The sea with in; Trains, planes, automobiles.
Music: I just love music! How can I choose? From Italian opera, to fado, to American blues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked the Camino de Santiago twice, the second time over the Pyrenees.
Hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon (and out again, of course, but not on the same day!) Rode my bike from Arizona to Canada and down the California coast on a solo trip.
