About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To poop in space.

ABOUT ME

I'm a cool dude. You know that scene at the end of blade where Wesley Snipes wastes some vampire, then catches his sunglasses and puts them on as a techno beat starts playing and he just goes on a rampage and dominates all the vampires? That scene is pretty close to the experience of knowing me.

PHILOSOPHY

antidisestablishmentarianism

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just moved to Brooklyn so CS is a great way to find fun stuff to do there. I've hosted and surfed in the past.

Interests

I play baseball in a rec league and take it way too seriously. It's fast pitch with wooden bats and everything. I grew up a huge Red Sox fan and never got over wanting baseball in my life. I'm very active in general. Downhill skiing, yoga, ping pong... Dancing at bars (not really clubs) and singing karaoke are my favorite night life kind of activities. I'm also reasonably intellectual and I have some interest in economics, ecology, astronomy and topics like that, which is not to say that I really understand those topics (maybe economics). When I travel I like to just find the good restaurants, coffee shops with good people watching, fun bars where people don't take life too seriously, and try to just live in that place as if it were my home and I didn't have to work. Talk people up a little. It's always fun to see some art too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Reykjavik with some friends we met some Icelandic rock band in a bar (Jet Black Joe?) and they kept it open all night for us and we hung out and they played songs with us and stuff. I ruined my throwing arm for the season that night arm wrestling a girl (and only managed a draw--she was strong--no really).

In Taos, NM we met this Native American kid who had all these wilderness survival skills and stuff. A few of us went out to the Rio Grand with him and caught some fish and barbecued under the stars.
