About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make a couchsurfing world cookbook and to cook in every continent

ABOUT ME

Steve or Stephen im not to picky..born and raised in Texas. Moved to a farm in NY when i was older and then I graduated from Johnson and wales university with a degree in culinary arts in Charlotte,NC .I love to cook. Been bar-tending and working as a chef in Charlotte for the past 4 years...

Id like to say im of the adventure type...i don't mind not having a plan and just going with the flow..some people say im all over the place..i call it spontaneous...Im one of the most down to earth people u will probably meet and get to know.

So my long-term plan was to wait till I was 35 and buy the biggest boat I can get .however I have jumped that up by three years . I have just recently purchased a 44 foot Jeanneau sun sOdyssey. I use it as my summer home and I can host surfers. Sooner or later I’ll be gearing it up and getting ready to embark on the adventure of all adventures.

Sunny days make me happy; so does good conversation, good food and great wine. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Before you know what you want to do in life..figure out what you DONT want to do first> i don't want to be stuck behind a desk, or in a room for the best years of my youth while i can be traveling the world and living/enjoying life to its fullest...

"May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, The foresight to know where you are going, And the insight to know when you have gone too far”

"Dont worry...be happy.." Billy bass fish on the wall

"Nothing made by man is more beautiful than a sailboat under way in fine weather, and to be on that sailboat is to be as close to heaven as I expect to get. It is unalloyed happiness." - Robert Manry
"to be or not to be...that is the question"

Teach, Learn, Share

where to start hmm....grew up on a 153 acre Horse farm and a lake..so i guess u can say i learned a little about everything. .. I can teach you how to Snow board, windsurf, wakeboard, sail, work on cars, remodel, paint, how stuff works..
However the newest addition is is finishing culinary school . Johnson and wales university.so i know how to cook very well :) ..and i love teaching others..that is my passion.

what i want to learn?.I started Spanish a while ago but lost it..and now i have a rekindled fire to become fluent..also i love learning local food specialties from around the word or from around the block.. teach me.

The only bad day someone can have is when they don't learn something new..
