After spending all of my adolescence writing poetry, horses came into my way in 2014. It was during a trip in Iceland, it was quick, funny, intense, and joyful. I realised when I left the stables that was my childhood dream, I looked at my boyfriend and I said : "I'm not letting this dream go away again." Once I came back from those few days in Iceland, I started horse-riding, two months later, I met Cassy, who was a painted (Black and White) 2 year-old young horse, I fell in love, and then she came into my life.
Now, 4 years later, I'm preparing my Centered Riding Instructor diploma.

On the other hand, literature in my other passion. I am currently preparing an exam to become a University teacher in Modern Literature. Horses put literature apart from my life, but today, I realised that life can be both : horses AND literature. Society often makes us believe that we HAVE to chose, I actually don't want to chose anymore, I'm going for the whole thing! I even began to write for a horse magazine.
Life is fantastic, if you allow it to be. Live the life YOU want, not the life you are dictated to live.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I began Couchsurfing as a guest. As a student I used to liv in tiny spaces, so hosting was first difficult.

When I moved to Limoges, we had a big flat where I actually began to host people. When I host people, I really like them to feel at home, so we all eat together, talk, play (society games), laugh, and even go for walks or visit around.

I currently live in the countryside, at about 50 minutes drive from Limoges. The house is big, I could host up to two couples.

Interessen

I don't know how to actually talk about my interests because I am easily interested in anything passionate people could talk about. I am very open-minded, quick learner, and actually often eager to learn new things, to explore and to discover new point of views.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

When I was a student, music used to accompany me everywhere. When I started to drive, first thing I'd do when I get into the car was to chose a CD according to my mood of the moment. Now, I'm less "into" music-at-all-cost and find myself happy to appreciate some pieces from time to time : for example, Paul Simon when I feel down (the best "feeling good again" music!), Nina Simone when I want to travel far in my feelings or my senses, peruvian music when I like to dream, cowboy music when I put the cowboy saddle on my horses, classical music when I want to feel intellectual, or instrumental music when I write.

I don't know if I do have favourite films, but I can think of two films that actually changed me forever : The Fountain by Darren Aronofsky and the Last Trapper by Nicolas Vanier. The first one is always a film that light in me new feelings, new thoughts, new way of seeing and understanding Love (or Death). And the second one planted into my head the possibility of life in Nature and with Nature.

My book-shelves are the most full thing in my entire house. I really like Kerouac and the Beat Generation, but I'm also fond of what was written in the French Literature from the 1920 to 1980 (quite a long time). I wrote my Master thesis on Beckett and Artaud.
