About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Staying active, meeting people, and traveling to new places every year!

ABOUT ME

Finally started my career 2 years ago, and I'm excited to have the time to travel and to start enjoying my life. I'm relatively new to Ann Arbor for a job, so I've been making an intentional effort to be active and to meet new people. It's been great to have an active CS community here with really nice couch surfers.

I grew up in Japan, moved to the US, stayed along the East Coast for the most part until moving here. I've had a great time backpacking in Europe, and hitting a few National Parks in the US. I've been to several major cities, but would still love to check out Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago. My big travel destination for this summer is Bali! I can't wait!!!

Anyhow, I look forward to my future surfing, to meeting interesting people, and to host people from all over the world and from all walks of life!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Be mindful of natural resources and the impact you have on others around you.

Have many passions! Learn from people! Play Music! Expand your horizon and your comfort zone!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Attending some local meets (love potlucks, bonfires, poi spinning sessions!). I'm excited to meet awesome people through surfing and hosting. I'm also up for coffee or getting together for picnics or local events. I've already met some great CS'ers and look forward for more!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting and having great times with local CS'ers for picnics, potlucks, bonfires, and check out great festivals hosted right in Ann Arbor (Banff Mt Film Festival, Summer Festival, Juggling Festival, "Holi" etc). Hosted a few of my friends crash on my couch (both members and non-members) anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks. It's fun to show them around the city.

Interests

Sharing stories, adventures, and cultural experiences that people have both within and across states, regions, or countries; Traveling, Skiing, hiking, non-western music, trying new food/restaurant with friends, playing puzzles and board games, and people watching.

My latest obsession is spinning Poi! Playing with the LED glow poi is too much fun!!

Otherwise: Gamelan and world music, Mahjong, Juggling arts, Aikido, table tennis, Japanese food/culture, dog training, languages, fighting games.

Otherwise, come play Mahjong with me, random puzzles and games also available at home,
