About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Going to a new city/country at least once a year.

ABOUT ME

I'm a linguistics and translation English Portuguese major and I'm trying to learn French on my own. I'm planning on studying a masters on Global Studies and start a diplomatic career. I love meeting new people and going to new places.

PHILOSOPHY

Small things change the history

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to use my languages domenation to help everyone who come to my country :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple of time people in my place in Santiago, it's been tons of fun and I loved going out with them at night to show the night life of Chile. I have no regrets and I'm planning on keep doing so in the future.

Interests

I'm the kinda person who doesn't follow guidebooks when it comes to going to a new city. I just follow my instincts and that way I tend to see more than the commom turist does. One of my mottos in life is "go to a new city at least once a year", it keeps you young.
I truly enjoy meeting people from different sides of the world, even more so if they part of the LGBT community because I love having conversations regarding their storied of coming out, how their country's political and social environment is and to have a good laugh. I doesn't mean I don't want to meet people how are not part of the community, I find it equally interesting to meet people that can share their experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE fantasy books like the Lorien Legacies, Eragon and Harry potter. In the Latin American Literature I have a special spot in my heart for "Cien Años de Soledad" (A hundred years of solitude) of Gabriel Garcia Marquéz, and "La Casa de los Espíritus" of Isabel Allende.

I have an interesting taste in music varying from Pop to Indie rock, being my favourite bands Keane and the Script, and my guilty pleasure would be Britney Spears and Sia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

St. Patrick's parade in new York and the trekking up Machu Picchu, honestly the latter is by far the most beautiful view I've contempled in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: as a matter of fact, right now I'm working as an English professor at a University in Chile, and I love it. In class we talk about trips and going to new places, as it is part of learning a new language.
Learn: honestly, if I ever host or I'm hosted by someone who speaks a language than I don't, I'd love to learn as a much as I can, languages are my passion.
Share: stories, we all have stories to share, that's how human history and famous books were born, ain't that right?

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, Thailand, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
