ABOUT ME

No matter where we go or what we do, we live our entire lives within the confines of our heads. I'm despicably optimistic; disgustingly enthusiastic. I am a part of all that I have met. I love life for no particular reason, and under no restrictions. I live for the now; I live for no regrets.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing is how I make new friends and find interesting things to do in all of the wonderful places that I visit. I also try to host as much as I can when I am not traveling myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best CS experience was probably my very first one in New York City, which facilitated my permanent move there. I went up to visit the city for a few days and I found my hosts, who were amazing. They took me all over Manhattan and Brooklyn, we ate/drank/laughed and we got so attached to each other in that one weekend that it was decided I wasn't going to leave. And then 3 days turned into almost 3 years and I loved every second of it. I never would have made the jump to NYC if it hadn't have been for the CS project.

Movies - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Snatch, From Dusk Till Dawn, Dazed and Confused, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, A Clockwork Orange, Natural Born Killers, Batman, The Boondock Saints, 300 (this could go on for days, so I digress)

Music - ALL OF IT. Seriously.

Books - anything by Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Palahniuk, Irvine Welsh, Aldous Huxley, Timothy Leary and a few others. Oh and definitely love me a Grisham every now and again!

I guess I have seen/done a lot of amazing things... but the most amazing is coming this summer (2013) when I finally make a serious move out of the USA and to Japan. I've never seen any of Asia or that hemisphere so it's got me wound up and excited beyond belief and will probably be the most amazing experience yet!

I could teach music (voice and piano) and the English language. I am TEFL certified but still working on my B.A. degree so I haven't done anything with it yet.
I would really like to learn Japanese so that I can make my way around the country better.
