My name is Janine, I am 25 years old and I was born and raised in Germany and still live in Germany! Considering to go abroad for a couple of years, but will always end up in Germany! I am a youngunglobetrotter and visited more than 35 countries so far.

I have always had a great interest in the Tourism and Events industry, as after passing my German A-levels, I spent a gap year in New Zealand, experiencing its unique culture firsthand. This then prompted me, in October 2013 to apply to study Tourism and Event Management at the Euro Business College in Hamburg.

Nevertheless during my studies I noticed that this sector won´t satisfy my expectations and therefore I decided to do my postgraduate studies in M.A International Management in Flensburg and besides those studies I do my second Masters degree in Sønderborg (Denmark) in Msc. Business, Language and Culture. My major is in small and medium enterprises and Entrepreneurship. I do not consider to overtake the family business, but would consider to establish a new one with my dad, who is my idol - very passionated and smart!

During my travels and having lived in 6 foreign countries, I find it very rewarding to learn new languages, and getting to know the diverse cultures of foreign countries.

Traveling is an addiction, you cant get rid off!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is unique. Learning a country and its culture firsthand is the most important aspect for me. Within the last 10 years I travelled the whole world. Experienced good times through couch surfing and wolfing. Met a great bunch of new people, learned about their daily life and just enjoyed every day. Through CS I met the most incredible persons and I am so happy to call them my friends.
