About Me

In 2022 traveled for almost half a year to mostly Norway, also Sweden and France with my then 8 year old. child. During May holiday 2023 traveling 1,5 weeks with the car, also to Norway, also sleeping in the car, which I made into a bed. Loving the adventures.

OTHER TRAVEL ADVENTURES:

In 2012 I started traveling and was for a while officially homeless by choice. I left everything behind, had no bank account or insurance. Only needed one backpack as possession and did not need a home to feel at home. It is about the people... still is.
First seven months hitchhiked through Europe, worked at several places, different jobs. Then went 3 months to Brazil, then to my parents in The Netherlands to give birth to my beautiful daughter. When she was 5,5 months old I went with her back to South-America and after 16 months back to the Netherlands again. Since 2015 back in The Netherlands, but once lived so different, it stays weird and not always easy the cliché way of living.

Still made short trips, mini roadtrips, camping in the Netherlands and also Belgium with my girl. In a cottage in Sauerland, etc.

I have lived 1,5 years in Brazil and some months in New Zealand as a kid.

ABOUT ME:

They used to call me a modern hippie and world citizen. Lately mostly 'mother' and poet. I was the city poet of Ommen. I am a poet, artist, coach.

We live vegan, like museums, entertainmentparks, dino's, archeology, storms and such. We like small adventures, the unexpected fun. Like just suddenly following with the car a hot air balloon and wait till it lands, once we followed with a bit distant thunder and lightning.

I used to be an dansaholic. Non smoker and never used drugs/alcohol.
Like laughing and having deep conversations, doing things I never did before, hate lies, love openness, love freedom, would love more sleep ;), adventurer, ex-hitchhiker, traveler...

- Borders are made out of hate.
- Against any form of discrimination. Am also anti speciesist, therefore vegan.
- "Be the change you want to see", - Mahatma Gandhi.
- 'Practice what you 'preach'.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted great surfers, also at my apartment in Peru, and June 2012 I surfed a lot for a while. Seriously, made the best friends ever through CS! The experience is great!
CS is a great way to meet more open minded people, to share travel stories and to talk about other wordly things and if in the process of that all new friendships are made it is even more great.

I stopped hosting because we have a small home and my daughter is getting older and due to health I need more rest, but maybe I want to surf or can meet up with people. Like to show the surroundings and give tips what to see, where to go.

- NOT A DATING SITE!
- I DO NOT ADD PEOPLE AS FRIENDS I HAVEN'T MET!
PLEASE NOTE!:I do not meet with men that have a list of friends and references only from women or have 'share bed'.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love travel/adventure story books, sometimes about nature, science, journalism and poetry.
I do not like fictive stories anymore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done 'strange' performances and interactions, have seen more of the world, was homeless, hitchhiked, worked at different places, cities in this world.
Traveled with my baby-girl for 16 months. I surfed at more than 50 places.
