About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the perfect bread.

ABOUT ME

The first thing you should know about me is that I can't stay in one place for too long, but that's neither here nor there. My passion in life is to please the Lord of Song, though this love relationship feels darn one-sided at times. Formally, I study music at a university; always, I think of me as a student of life. Finding the balance between being creative and effective is for me... challenging. Another ol' challenge I've been trying to tackle is to be organized. Hit me with a request, I'll do my best.

PHILOSOPHY

There is One and it's Truth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm fairly new to CS, but I grew up with parents who regularly host strangers at home. Some of them just knocked on our door and went straight in. And this old system has now taken an online platform! I can't miss out on that.

Interests

Philosophy, music, food, food, food :) traveling (obviously), feminism, taking risks. And when it comes down to it, I can somehow spend hours on end talking about politics. It doesn't make much sense.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films that you can ponder on about. My favourites, favourites(!) are O Ano em Que Meus Pais Sairam de Ferias, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Story of Xiao Yan, Ikiru, and Wall-E, which also made me Think.

Music, toughie. I like to say I enjoy all kinds of music, but in the end some are more equal than others. These days I listen to the likes of David Bowie, Shiina Ringo, Pato Fu, and Maurice Ravel. My latest discovery is The Noisettes.

I read Jeanette Winterson in a romantic mood, Chuck Palahniuk when angry, Truman Capote for clean prose, Gianinna Braschi for the exact opposite. Lately I'm stuck on Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The fact that I'm alive, haha, almost died at birth, didn't breathe for a whole hour.
I have seen Love.

Teach, Learn, Share

- Life has taught me how to be peaceful, if that can somehow be useful to others.
- Food. Have been an eater since '90, a cook since '98; I can be your tester and/or tummy-pleaser.

Countries I’ve Visited
