About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Breathing. It feels good, doesn't it? Current mission is to get more content and less anxious.

ABOUT ME

College edjumakated, punk, Quaker, meditating, spelunking man with Asperger's syndrome and a hint of anxiety disorder.
I enjoy exploration. I love to hike new trails, jog and bike. I love jogging in places I've never been because it's so more intimate than driving around. I love exploring new concepts, and new electrical components. I wish I had the time to learn how to build electronic circuits.

I really enjoy exercise.

Soy un pequeño engranaje de una máquina que está destruyendo lentamente a la Tierra.

I used to wheatpaste posters and stencil all over town. Haven't done that in a few years.

I enjoy learning about economics and psychology, and I think that our economy is one big gigantic Pyramid Scheme. And I would like to do my little part to fix our reliance on outdated economic data and phantom wealth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQqDS9wGsxQ
I am an ISTJ in the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be a dick.
Question Authority.

"He called me a louse and said "Think of the grouse"
Well i thought, but I still couldn't see
Why all Kinder Scout and the moors roundabout
Couldn't take both the poor grouse and me
He said "All this land is my master's"
At that I stood shaking my head
No man has the right to own mountains
Any more than the deep ocean bed

"I once loved a maid, a spot welder by trade
She was fair as the Rowan in bloom
And the bloom of her eye watched the blue Moreland sky
I wooed her from April to June
On the day that we should have been married
I went for a ramble instead
For sooner than part from the mountains
I think I would rather be dead"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people, and I travel and surf with other people on this website. I also once in a while host a get together, although organizing events is really stressful for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travel in Quaker and socialist/anarchist circles, both of which have a proud tradition of hospitality. I slept on many couches and beds before CouchSurfing existed. I have since hosted quite a few people, and have used this website to find lodging in Central and South America.

Interests

I'm really good at reading maps and driving.

Other interests: Star Trek trivia, Comic Book Trivia, and appearing misanthropic, Contact Improvisation dance, impov theatre, housing co-ops.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took the bus from Santa Cruz (Bolivia) to Asuncion (Paraguay). The trip took more than 24 hours, and for about 50 miles, The road was basically sand. I'd hate to have to make that trip during the rainy season. We also got stopped and searched by the narco-cops for about 4 hours in the middle of no where, Paraguay.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some electrical construction stuff. I know lots of star trek trivia. I can fix bikes, I know a little car repair stuff, I can do a little plumbing. And I have lots of hiking experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, time, board games, a fairly good knowledge of good swimming and hiking spots around the Capital District.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom, United States
