About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

All about me?
Decribing yourself sounds weird to me...
I like being with people. I don't mind just sitting there together, reading a book , enjoying the moment in silence.
I think at first I seem a little shy, or even not interested in you. I just like thinking about what to say first and listening, you learn a lot about people if you keep listening ;) buuuut once i warmed up a little, i like talking and sharing stories. Still not a super small talker, I rather find a topic we both share the same or different thoughts on, to have a meaningful conversation.

Sometimes people don’t get my kind of irony or sarcasm, if you’re ever in a situation thinking “why did she say that? It’s super weird” I was probably making a bad joke ;)

Better find out yourself. =)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying hard not to judge a book by its cover :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

REASONS I'M ON COUCHSURFING
I found the best way to a new place is to see it through a locals eyes. And the best way to see you hometown is to show it to another surfer. As I'm traveling solo a lot and being in new places can make me feel a bit hectic, I like meeting locals - its makes you feel somewhat home :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf when I'm backpacking. Catch up with people in my own city and host every now and then.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Namibia, Botswana, Vancouver and Capetown. It's a great way of traveling.
Hosted people in my home town and showed them around.

Interests

I love traveling, birding, hiking, diving, reading, yoga and - of course - meeting new people.
Not so much of a party person. Rather have a beer at a pub or outdoors by a fire :)
I love love love camping, so if you wanna swap the couch for a tent, I'm more than happy to show you the beautiful german countryside.

Please Invalide Information about your favorite food in your request so I know you’re not just spamming for a couch to crash on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Noah Gordon, harry potter, thriller, Frank Schätzing,
Music and movies always depend on my feelings and the situation.
I rather watch a good documentary than crappy tv programm.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

can't decide on the one most amazing thing ;

- Lying on top of the van, watching the most amazing sky in australias desert
- Drinking Kymys with Nomands in Kyrgyzistan.
- Meeting all kinds of Seaanimals while diving
-sharing Capana with my awesome host in Namibia
-discovering Germany (yes, it’s truly beautiful)
- tbc...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk the hind legs off a donkey about environment and marine life ;) But I'll leave you alone if you don't wanna hear ;)

I can teach you german ;)

I can tell you all about budget backpacking thru Australia and Southwestafrica

I'd love to host or surf with people speaking one of the following languages: Russian (beginner), French (Beginner), Dutch (somewhat good), Spanish (used to be good ;) )

I'd like to learn more about birding and wildlife when I’m surfing, vice versa I can tell and show you a lot about birding and wildlife in Germany.

I can teach you to live environmentally healthy. Of course, I’m not doing everything right, but I have a lot of ideas and knowledge about that topic.

I can teach about how to camp. I’ve been camping my whole life, so I know a little about how to not end up in a soggy tent ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have two horses, so in case you've never gotten in touch with a horse, i can take you to just be there with them. It's absolutely relaxing.

If I’ve got some free time there a quite a few nice castles around, so if you’re interested in that, we can go on and check them out.
