ABOUT ME

Its tough to describe me. Life is always an exploration for me where I'm the temporary custodian of everything that I possess.

I am an unusual guy. Some people love me, some choose to disagree with me. I've travelled many places all over the world, worked in many countries, had all sorts of adventures, and never ever had a real home. If you want stories, I have plenty, but I'm more interested in hearing about the world today, and what you are doing/learning.

The biggest lesson I've learned is that laughter is good. Every situation has a funny side, and a good laugh puts everything into perspective.

Some people think I'm a negative thinker, because I see opportunities to improve things everywhere I look. Some people think I'm a positive thinker, because I always believe in the possibility of change. Things CAN be better, and I analyse stuff constantly, and look for ways to improve everything.

I am passionate about food. I'm a great cook, I can feed myself and absolutely hate McD, KFC, etc. The best CS experiences for me involve a good meal and chat about life, the universe and everything - at a reasonable time of the evening.

PHILOSOPHY

Give to others whatever possible and never expect anything in return.

So, guys if I you have touched my soul, I would write a reference for you, there is no need to beg for one from me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfer's get-togethers, surfing, hosting & explorations

# I organized the regular couchsurfing meet-ups in La Roche-sur-Yon and Clermont Ferrand in FRANCE

# I organize the "Fourth Saturday Meet" in Kolkata to connect local and visiting Couchsurfers in INDIA

# Casual get-togethers and city walks with local and visiting couchsurfers

# Hosting nice people. In order to be hosted by me, you need to have a well written profile and a couch request. :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I prefer to say every new contact brings new experience. I am absolutely loving CSing, and have met a lot of very interesting and unusual people. I think CS attracts non-normal people, so it's a great community to join. Trying to meet new people through the get together and explore this amazing world...
This place would fall short, if I continue with my experience... ... will share more when you meet me !

Interests

# Taking photos, art, writing, learning new languages, painting, yoga, cricket, badminton, mountain hiking, jungle adventures.

# Developed an intense interest for learning ancient Vedic shastras. This prompted me to be in association with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and undergo a self realization process.

# Traveling, Traveling & Traveling with lots of snack-breaks. Traveling is a joy when I have a friend with me always.

Music, Movies, and Books

All good to watch, Instrumentals.. specially fusions. The most inspiring songs to me are:
1. "Hug" by Ben Sands : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK9YVD5D6U8
2. "Mourir demain" by Pascal Obispo, Natasha St-Pier : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZEVTPN1hvo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was considered as one of the craziest thing by most of my friends. Bought a Travel-book for Europe. Took 30 days vacation. And left my home. Travelled extensively through France, Italy, Caspian Sea to reach Barcelona, Spain and return. I did not book a single ticket for train, flight & ship, nor reserved any hostels, hotels or guest-houses.
And yes all through-out this trip I made many friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

# TEACH : Whatever I know ... from people management skills, multi-cultural inter-human relationships to surviving alone in strange cities, cooking to art of Indian philosophy.

# LEARN : Listening to me is the vital human skill that one should appreciate more than speaking. So guys please enlighten me with your countries, cultures, civilizations, customs, traditions, lifestyles, rituals .... Rest assured that I will never get bored with your stories.

# SHARE : My most amazing survival stories.
