ABOUT ME

www.lukascech.com

Animal lover, vegan, traveller enterprenneur and free thinker. I quit a great career in London, to live a more fulfilled life, by my values. I have been travelling, living in various countries around the world and working for myself since May 2012.

Easy going, unconventional, like heavy metal but also listen to other genres, like going to concerts and festivals, outdoors, camping, a good meal with a nice bottle of wine, but also a good pint of ale!

In my spare time, I keep fit, try to think of brilliant ideas about how to make money whilst traveling, go for a drink with friends, learn a foreign language or read a good book.

PHILOSOPHY

"“I see my path but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I am going is what inspires me to travel it" -- €œRosalia de Castro.

"Don't do to others what you wouldn't want them to do to you." (my mum)"In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take,...." (from a post here on CS)"“You must be the change you want to see in the world." --Gandhi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a host and a surfer, helping others discover the world, teach them something (yummy vegan cooking, random life philosophies I can ramble on forever about :) )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing. I made some good friends worldwide, met like minded people, learned about travelling, seen things that are not in tourist books and enjoyed my time meeting the world!

Interests

read a good book (my favourite was Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts - AMAZING!), travel, meet new people, discover new cultures and learn about them, learn languages, work on new tattoo designs for myself, work with animals / charities, figuring out a way to earn money whilst travelling the world, exploring new religions (although I'm an atheist, but I like to know what they are about and take the good stuff from them), learning any new thing, whether its useful or just plain weird, any new skill is better than no skill!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like any good music :). Metal, ambience, fusion, folk, classical, some drum & base / dubstep, country and rock. And pretty much any live alternative music. Movies: The Age of Stupid, Requiem for a Dream, Shaun of the dead, Idiocracy, Hot Fuzz, Snatch, Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, Firefly (series)Books - Shantaram, Alchemist, A short history of nearly everything, The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle, Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene, and The Blind Watchmaker and some more nerdy stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, sold my shit and set out to travel around South America, where I climbed volcano Chimborazo in my 3rd week! 6310 meters above the sea, amongst many other amazing things!

Living free since May 2012. Free to live where I want, work when I want, do what I want.
