ABOUT ME

I first heard about couch surfing while studying abroad in Iceland during Fall 2011 at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik. I am from Maine and went to undergrad in upstate New York where I graduated with a B.S in environmental studies/biology.
I moved to Athens, GA for almost two years after college where I worked in a lab while also getting my yoga teacher certification. Moved to Louisiana for three years and got my masters at LSU. Now back home in Maine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some awesome couch surfers and it is something I have really wanted to try myself. I love the idea of traveling to a place and fully immersing yourself in the culture by staying with locals.

-Tried couchsurfing for the first time in Canada while interviewing for vet school. It was a good experience and really helpful!

Interests

Reading, music, animals, traveling, nature, yoga, the environment. I've been a vegan since January 2015 and am passionate about how the food we eat can lead to a healthier lifestyle for us and our planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad in Iceland; everything I saw was amazing:) Especially the amazing fireworks display on New Years Eve; the waterfall Skógafoss; the village of Vík; and of course the Northern Lights!
