About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel more--stay active--give back--find the world's best IPA

ABOUT ME

I'm in my twenties and working as a publisher's assistant.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not so much into life mottoes; I'd rather ad lib and see where it goes. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am so excited to explore--not just being in new places, but meeting the gracious people who live there. I'm looking forward to being able to host in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to courchsurfing.org, but I have hosted and stayed with friends and acquaintances, and have only had good experiences.

I hope I'm a good guest! I'm tidy and omnivorous. I like to relax over a beer, but I'd say I'm decidedly not rowdy. I always welcome your recommendations for interesting places to go and things to do!

Interests

I enjoy hiking, trail running through the hills, watching crass television, reading achingly gorgeous poetry, sampling the local fare, learning to play the banjo, going to concerts and plays, big nature, little nature, spending time with old friends and new, and perfecting my road trip playlist.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, we will be here all day if I try to fill this out properly...I like all sorts of things, across many different genres.

Movies. I don't know, I like lots of movies! I'm more of a TV watcher, though. "Arrested Development" is the best thing ever.

Music. Folk, punk, old-time banjo, Northern soul, top 40, bottom 40.

Books. Mid-twentieth century Southern fiction, biographies, The Outsiders, Animorphs? I don't know. I am terrible at lists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun break through a snowstorm in a Colorado box canyon. Driving up the California coast for the first time. Getting to see my favorite actor play Hamlet. I've been lucky.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to string a banjo. If you're in nonprofit fundraising, I'm happy to talk shop.
