About Me

Hey there :) ! I'm Patricia, graphic designer from Montreal.

I'm a lot into "zero waste". That means I'm trying to have the lowest impact on the environment possible. The only content of my garbage bin currently is cat litter and fruit stickers. I'm a hippie at heart ;). However, I am worried that I won't be able to follow this lifestyle when travelling.

I don't eat meat. I avoid milk, cheese and eggs as much as I can. I eat fish and seafood when no other plant-based option is available. I don't want to have any kind of debate over this and I'll respect your dietary choices, please respect mines. Nonetheless, I don't mind answering any questions. I'm not exactly vegan since I don't obey to all the rules of the "vegan police" ;)

I usually go at bed around 10pm. Yes, I know, I am a boring old grandma but I usually try to sleep 9 hours otherwise I am really tired the next day.

A message to all the globe-trotters reading my profile: please be mindful of the environmental impact that you have while you're travelling! We are privileged to be able to go around the world and it comes with responsability. We should try to limit our plane travels as much as we can but, if we use the plane, it is a good idea to buy carbon credits to compensate (not ideal but better than nothing). I don't want to sound preachy or make you feel guilty, I just want to sensibilize people to this issue (not enough people know about it).

Interests

I also like to talk to people about Québec, this weird part of Canada where people speak French and little English. I want the people to know how rich is Québec's culture and why it is so different from the rest of Canada. I don't consider myself Canadian, even though I do like them ;)

I love going to concerts. This is one of the things I spent most money on (except for traveling).

Stuff I would like to do:
- Trek in Nunavut
- See the Mongolian desert
- Hike in Patagonia
- See the fjords in Norway
- Visit the Rockies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the sun going down behing the Alps on the Lake of Geneva at the city of Vevey, that was one of the most beautiful thing I ever saw.

I watched a jazz concert in the tiniest pub ever in Amsterdam, I danced to indie rock music in a club in Edinburgh, I passed out in Geneva, I hid myself at the back of a Smart car in Roma, I took a bus on Detroit's 8 mile by myself (and was the only white person on the bus), I rode a bicycle in the middle of nowhere in Holland, I paraglided in the Swiss Alps, I enjoyed a cruise on Annecy's lake, I sweat on the Côte-d'Azur, I had a drink in a posh bar at one of the highest skyscrapers in Chicago, I saw a live volcano in Japan and I skied in the Alps :)

The best shows I've ever seen: Billy Talent at Vans Warped Tour, Modest Mouse at Osheaga, Hubert Lenoir at Francos 2019

The farthest West I went: Driftwood, USA
The farthest North I went: Dettifoss, Iceland
The farthest South I went: Punta Arenas, Chile
The farthest East I went: Tokyo, Japan
