About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I’m currently visiting home (France and Europe) and I live in Aotearoa (NZ).
I made connections with inspiring people from Social Enterprise Auckland or Enspiral ... I'm interested in social and inspiring projects.

Live simply and being happy.

More specifically, continue to follow my dreams and act to make the world a better place to live, means acting in a conscious way.
Like a French movement's motto (Colibris) : "Do its part"
You can have more information on the movement online.

ABOUT ME

You can call me Jon, Johnou, Jeannou, Jonath, Jonathon, Jon Jon, Johnny Boy or even make one up ;-)

I started CS by doing it with my distant cousin Bastien while we were flatmates and then I continue it as I found a fabulous tool to meet others people and be connected to them.

I got graduated in International business and worked as a sales representative for Avis for few years but decided to quit taking a deployment leave. After that, I started a MBA in the Sustainable Performance Management and did an internship in a social company "Simplon.co that propose a Free and intensive 6 months learning onsite to become web/mobile developper. In fact, using the transformative power of the digital in the service of the inclusion, employability and social diversity.

PHILOSOPHY

Be conscious - Think different

Be the change you wish to see in the world (Ghandi)

Life is a beautiful gift - Life is a conscious game

Happiness is a decision (Amma)

Holstee Manifesto :
“This is your life. Do what you want and do it often.
If you don't like something, change it.
If you don't like your job, quit.
If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Be a part of some events where I live or where I travel.

Try to respond favourably to surfer's requests.

Organize events in Paris and let know surfers of good spots or cool activities (exhibition, invitations etc.) in Paris.
Each week, a soccer meeting is organized, https://www.couchsurfing.com/events/weekly-football-malakoff-2016-03-26

It's a good way to gather people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My cousin and I first welcomed spanish friends of german friends that I met in a business school in Paris. We founded it cool and wanted to renew the experience. We were the happiest guys when we found out that a website was done for it. Then we welcomed people from all over the world : mexican, british, russian, brazilian, spanish, swedish ....

Also, CS allows to keep unforgettable memories and change the way I travel.

Interests

Sports (Soccer, badminton, slackline), cinema,
Personal development, meditation, consciousness, yoga, veget/vegan food, cooking, learn (Mooc), backpacking, waking up before the sunshine (not always easy^^), bet out of my comgfort zone, go to the unknown

I love also playing boardgames (Dixit, Duplik and many more) or play cards (president/asshole, norway battle, tarot but not the one to read other's future)

Doing selfless actions (I stayed in the association, Leo Club) or doing Seva in India.
Also I was volunteer for the Ouishare Fest and the Zero Waste in Paris in June 2016. Such a great energy there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got some stories/souvenirs to tell:

One of the craziest was spending more than 6 hours with 2 friends in the illegal catacombes of Paris without knowing the end and the exit to take.
Exhausting, wacko but finally good experience cos quirky. Our test of claustrophobia was done.

and some nice souvenirs :

With friends of mine, we went all over East Europe (Czech Rep, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Greece and Italia) with Interrail during 21 days.

Travelling with my sister, Jessica, being immersed in India living in the local way and find it fairly easy.

Staying at a festival in Brazil called FICA : Festival internacional de cultura alternative. The energy there was strong and the spirit of community, sharing was awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

Basically, sharing with others things I enjoy to do.

I will be pleased to teach french or anything I am able to do. I have energy to share and to serve.

I can share what I got and give plants I cultive in my place (basil, parsley :)
