About Me
ABOUT ME
From rural, working class origins, I escaped my hometown as soon as I graduated high school and have spent the time since then moving up and down the East Coast for one reason or another (read: boyfriends). I've been in Pennsylvania since late 2008 and I love it for the most part.
I have a Bachelor's degree in writing, with minors in English and history. I originally went to school for foreign languages (4.5 yrs of French, 3 Spanish, 1 Italian -- don't remember almost any of it though, sadly), but got overwhelmed and switched to a language I already knew.
My passion is editing, but I'm currently working elsewise. I'm in a Master's program at St. Joseph's University for Writing Studies. Eventually I hope to get into teaching English/writing in some capacity.
Outside of statistics/personal history, I'm pretty much living for the sake of life right now. I spent way too much time of my late teens/early 20s doing what I thought seemed sensible, so I'm kind of trying to make up for 'lost' time at this point.
I'm sarcastic, borderline neurotic, positive in a grounded/cynical way, and relatively lazy...unless beer is involved.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short. I don't want to waste my time with bullshit and unhappy things. Be direct, don't stress, and don't take shit personally.
Interests
My two main passions/interests these days are working out and beer. Which unfortunately do not complement each other. I guess a third one would be making to-do lists and working my way through them... but most of my to-do lists are related to working out and beer, so I'll leave it to you to determine whether that counts as a separate interest.
Oh, and reddit. That's sort of an interest/hobby/addiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Witnessing the peaceful protests during Arab Spring, even from the other side of the world. Especially those in Tahrir Square/Egypt. Between the sheer number of people coexisting in tight quarters, the worldwide support, and the technological tactics used/created to keep people connected to the outside world, I was absolutely amazed at humanity.
