I'm Siddhi, which is the diminutive of Siddhartha. I've been to every continent except Antarctica. I try to go somewhere new and different every month and explore more new countries. I love learning about new cultures and meeting people from different places.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time abroad with my parents and it instilled a love of travel in me. Now, I'm a digital nomad. I typically explore the world through housesitting, but also enjoy Couchsurfing. Although I can no longer host, I love meeting up with locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have loved having couchsurfers stay with me in New York, Portugal, and Spain! I haven't been a couchsurfer too often, but have made lifelong friends on the few occasions when I've stayed in couchsurfer's homes.

I typically reside in other people's homes through housesitting, so I can't host at this time-- but I'm always happy to meet up and show people around. I've loved the people I've met--both those who have come to stay and those who I've stayed with!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I enjoy most music. I particularly enjoy jazz and would never turn down a trip to the opera.

MOVIES: Indie/foreign films and some mainstream ones too-- e.g., Black Swan or Ida or 'Like Father Like Son' (Japanese) or Shawshank Redemption. My favourite movie of late is the Lobster.

BOOKS: Too many to count! Why We Believe What We Believe. The Underground Girls of Kabul. The Language of Food. The list goes on and on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite places in the world is Morocco. My friends and I rode camels through a desert, got lost in the souk, and climbed a mountain and jumped in a waterfall at the very top.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love technical and scientific things. I want to learn more about cars, setting up miniature houses, and bioelectronic medicine.
