About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my trip around the world.
Currently living in a van, driving around Europe with my partner Bobbie.

ABOUT ME

I'm a curious and open-minded person who likes to laugh a lot.
I have a bachelor's degree in physics, which is fairly useless. However, I learned how to solve problems and I just love it! That's probably why I love rock climbing so much too.

PHILOSOPHY

"An undefined problem has an infinite number of solutions"
I see the world in a rational way. Science is not truth, only plausibility. So I guess everything is possible and we must never be blinded by what seems true.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed the couches across the globe. I love discovering a place with someone who lives there. That way, you get to know the place and the person a lot better.
Now that I have a place and a spare room, it seems fitting to start sharing. I am currently living with my girlfriend Bobbie Liang, and we decided to offer our spare room to the tight budgeted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love when I find a couch randomly outside the website. I like short stay of 2-3 days, because it keeps me in a traveling mood.

Interests

Bouldering, rock climbing, hiking, video games, biking (bicycle), relaxing, but most of all, exploring, discovering and learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most kind of music, but the music I listen to when I'm alone usually reflects how I feel. It is mostly instrumental (like Two Steps From Hell or Ratatat), alternative rock and power metal.
I watched a lot of movies, it is hard to tell which one I prefer. I certainly enjoy a lot more action and science fiction movies, but generally, a movie with a very good story is always worth seeing. Though, one of my favorite is definitely The Man From Earth, by director Richard Schenkman.
As for books, I'm more into fantastic and science fiction than anything else. For science fiction fans, I recommend the Commonwealth Saga, by Peter F. Hamilton ! And of course, all the classics, like The Foundation and Dune. I also really enjoyed Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to go on a trip around the world, which started April 1st, 2013, and is technically still ongoing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a bit on astrophysics and I (hate to) know about quantum mechanic. I find all sciences interesting and I love dropping random facts about something.
We learn everyday, and the more I learn, the more fun I have.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
