About Me

Check out our COUCHSURFING STORY here: https://blog.couchsurfing.com/my-journey-with-couchsurfing/

***I actually speak the languages listed here. If your primary language is one of them, please use it. It also shows me you took the time to read my profile.***

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back guy, a young doctor but surfer at heart. A few years ago, I embarked on a journey to become a polyglot. Six languages later, I'm just as excited as during my first conversation in French. I believe I have a genuine interest in other peoples and cultures and I love to travel, learn new languages, engage in cultural experiences, and try different foods.

I enjoy getting to know someone over a glass of wine, figuring out public transportation in a new place, speaking the language of the locals, traveling like one, and winding down with kickboxing after a long week.

After an inordinate amount of education, I work in consulting in the life sciences with the company I started. You can learn more about what I do here: https://juniper.life. I can be busy, but I still make time for the things that matter in my life like staying active, eating healthy, and keeping in touch with family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mainly as an active host. I make an effort to be an ambassador of the places I host in, helping travelers and teaming up with other local CSers to organize events for the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was first introduced to Couchsurfing through friends in New York City. After attending a few events, I was delighted to discover a community that shares my view of the world and my passion for traveling. I decided to create an account and I have since hosted extensively, surfed, and traveled with fellow CSers. Nearly every experience has been positive and I have learned from each of them. I hope to continue to benefit from this opportunity to learn and share in respect and tolerance.

Interests

Outside of medicine, I maintain a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise, a balanced diet, and a "dose of ritualism" by adhering to my beliefs. I enjoy hikes in nature, climbing, running, surfing and swimming, and I make an effort to lift weights on a consistent basis. I'm a big martial arts fan and I practice kickboxing and wrestling. I also have a genuine interest in traveling and discovering different cultures. At the same time, I believe it's important to stay grounded and loyal to family.
