ABOUT ME

I'd like to pretend I was an eclectic individual full of information and fun facts, but maybe I'm just big headed. I like to exchange ideas and have great conversation and that's really it, haha. I really appreciate the art of being able to be with others.

I'm a dog trainer, groomer, and pet sitter who loves animals and working with them. My boyfriend A.J. is an artist/landscaper/jack of all trades who can do/fix pretty much everything. We plan on traveling the world soon as staying in one spot is undesirable to us. Look out!

I want to travel more, but at the moment I am more of a host. Everyone's welcome so long as you aren't crazy. Bad crazy, the good kind of crazy is always nice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've officially had my first couch surfer and he has been a blast! I look forward to all future guests.

Interests

Dogs, animal psychology, human psychology... psychology lol. Learning, concepts, the art of conversation. Languages, cooking, exploring, and problem solving. I like using my mind and learning about our minds and the minds of those around us. So long as I am using my mind grapes, I am happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't like questions like this as there are hundreds of books and music that I enjoy. I also don't like listing things of this nature because it is just another way for us to classify each other. You show me some music and books and I'll show you. I will unbiasedly absorb the experience whether or not I enjoy. I like being exposed to new things.

I don't watch tv, however, so sorry on that end. You will find yourself frustrated if you wish to talk about the latest celebrity or show with me as I will not know what you're talking about. I will watch a documentary occasionally, but I prefer to do my own reading and research. I don't mean to come off as uppity, we do have a tv in our home for our guests, but this world is too vast and full of interesting things for me to waste time in front of a screen. It requires no thought to watch television and that makes me uncomfortable.

You are welcome to use our tv, though. However, my boyfriend and I probably won't be joining you. But if you want to talk the night away. do some art or travel around town, let's do it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think everyday is amazing, as cheesy as it is. But I think my work in fostering animals is the most amazing of all. I've taken dogs with no hope and given them the loving families they need and I plan to do so until the day I die.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a dog trainer with a passion for what I do. Have some dog questions? Looking for the right breed for you? Want a better understanding on how your dog's mind works? I will gladly share my ideas and knowledge. Everyone who meets my dogs are surprised by the fact that while obedient and intelligent, still very full of life and not stifled by harsh training methods. I promote positive only training methods without the excessive use of treats and without the use of bribery.

Jameson is a very talented artist who uses off the beaten path techniques in his work. He has a very unique style that makes me think of a nightmare you would enjoy being in. While it is hard for him to let go of his art children, he will sell or trade something from time to time. I do a bit of art as well, but just for fun. We have plenty of supplies from paint brushes, hemp, wire, spray paint, cloth and pottery. It doesn't matter if you think you can draw or not, please join us!
