About Me

I'll settle for world domination, but a private island would be nice too.

I'm a 20-something traveller drifting around the world. I love to visit places that are 'weird' (some would say 'unique'...?) and I'm currently exploring all the cultural oddities South America has to offer.

I still love pillow-forts, rain, hot chocolate, dinosaurs, jumping into huge piles of leaves, and Captain Planet. When I (occasionally) have to act like an adult, I love to talk about history, politics, literature, food, sports, beer and dinosaurs (again).

"When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world."
George Washington Carver (1864-1943)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing hosts are awesome people (98.3% of the time). Mostly I'm just lucky enough to get to know some of them! I've never hosted anyone (yet) but I'd love to give it a go.

Interests

Could've sworn I did this already.

Now that I'm on the road, I love whatever death-defying activities you can throw my way: cycling Death Road (Bolivia), hiking with bears (Alaska), skiing off cliffs (Canada)...

Travelling is an amazing part of my life right now, and I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my time. I still love to study (history, politics, international relations, art, literature...) on the road, but it's equally important to make a few great friends along the way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Apparently Alaska isn't a fan of 'public transport' in the winter, so I spent over 2 months hitchhiking my way across the state. You can never tell what kinds of weird, fun people you're going to meet!
