About Me

ABOUT ME

I work for American Airlines so I take advantage of the free flight benefit and do a lot of traveling. I'm a huge music fan (as well as a musician) so most of my trips are planned around concerts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel on my own and I usually stay at hostels if it's longer than a day trip but it's always nice to connect with someone who is familiar with the area and can show me around or simply recomment interesting things to do and good places to eat. If the host is into music, that's a bonus as I am a big music fan and a musician as well (multiple instruments).

Interests

Music, mostly. Playing it, writing it, listening to it, seeing it performed live. Also love independent film. Grew up abroad so I've always loved traveling and experiencing new cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove around the US in 2004 when I was unemployed, a 7,000 mile loop through 23 states in 19 days. Stayed with relatives and friends or slept in my tent. Got a park pass for $50 and visited 11 National Parks along the way. It was amazing.

Went to Namibia, Africa in 2002, a trip planned around a solar eclipse. Fantastic! An incredibly beautiful country. I was only there for five days so I want to go back and see more of it.

I took a day trip to Rome! Spent four hours at The Coliseum, ate dinner and then saw Polly Paulusma play at a blues club called Big Mama. After that, had some vanilla slice at Paradiso Cantina and then caught the train back to the airport and flew back. The trip only cost me $32 (departure tax) so it's not as crazy as it sounds.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have countless travel adventures to share and love hearing about others' adventures. I'm also happy to play with any musicians if there are instruments around.
