ABOUT ME

People know me for my spontaneity. One minute I could be sitting at home or in a class at university, the next I'm on a plane to another state or country.
Travelling is the thing that makes me happiest. I love new cultures, new people, new stories, and new life experience.

My first big trip sums me up pretty well. I was sitting in my room at university flicking through a newspaper when I found a ridiculously cheap flight from Sydney to Shanghai, China. The next minute it was booked and I was packing my bag. At first I thought I could stay in China and learn Mandarin. The trip turned into a 4 month expedition across Asia to 8 countries.

Uni wasn't impressed.

But every day I try to remind myself that life shouldn't be taken too seriously. It doesn't last long enough for that. Let's make it an adventure. Travellers seem to be way cooler people anyway!

Anyway, when I am trying to exercise my serious side I study Medicine at the University of New South Wales. (Don't hurt yourself yet though, I'm not ready for that!)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe there is something to learn from every experience, whether the experience is positive or negative. I always try to look for what it is I should learn from every experience

Change is exciting, it should be embraced.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to help those who travel to Sydney fall in love with this amazing city as much as I have.

I live on campus so my couch won't be available this year. Hopefully I'll get my own apartment soon though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was again random and spontaneous. I met someone in a hostel in Hong Kong who happened to be meeting up with a couchsurfer. A group of us explored the entire city, seeing and doing things I could only dream of doing in every city I visit. It turned out to be one of the best day's of my trip, which is why I would love to give the same experience for others in Sydney

I met a long-lost brother of mine for the second time in my life in an airport in Singapore.
