About Me

I am PhD student in Anthropology in Marseille. Currently travelling to London, Thailand, Malaisia and Singapore for my research, I can always have time to grab a beer, go for a walk or anything else that you would be eager to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly, I'm surfing with Couchsurfing because for me it is one of the most delicious way to discover a country, a culture, and above all people. It makes a trip a way different than it should have been, and always get you into unexpected situations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Concerning books, I devour them. Of course, I am fond of anthropological books, such as Mircea Eliade, Roland Barthes, Elias Sanbar. Most of them always teach me something new, and make my brain boiling. Moreover, I like to read Milan Kundera's books - my favorite one of course, is "L'insoutenable légereté de l'être". Quite ordinary... Moreover, I love to read about the arabic culture, even if the simple concept of "arabic culture" can be controversial.

I love movies, as a lot of people I guess : my favorite directors are Lars Von Trier, Gus Van Sant, Xavier Dolan, Jane Campion, Felix Van Groenigen, or Roman Polanski. Those are the ones I think about meanwhile writing this profile, but I know there are more ! I am always eager to discover new movies, and diving into the plot of a movie is fascinating. Moreover, I really enjoy to watch documentaries, and I would like to do an internship in Marseille for the "International meeting of Arab Cinema".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling to Palestine. Cannot say it can be considerated as "Amazing !", but for me it was a particular experience. A strange and fascinating experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're eager to hear about it, I can tell you about Bretagne, a region from France that has is own culture and minority language, such as in Barcelona with Catalonia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With hosts I can share simple moments, having a drink, or walking around the sea side in Saint-Brieuc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
