Hi there!
I'm Zohar (="Glamour" in Hebrew) from Israel/Palestine, living in the beautiful city of Haifa. I love traveling, languages (currently learning Arabic), cooking, dancing, and a recent love - physical theatre!

I work at the "Arava Institute for Environmental Studies" – a place where Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians and internationals live together, study about the environment and work on cross-border environmental cooperation. It’s a miraculous place in which I’m very proud to be working :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed a lot during 2 big trips in Europe and I think it was a life changing experience for me. Made me really appreciate the generosity of people, and this miraculous experience of befriending someone you just met.
Later on I hosted some people in Israel and it was so great to give back!
CS is my inspiration for life, traveling and adventures. I wish for all the people in the world to experience it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of movies from the 90's (Shawshank redemption, Fight club, The Truman show..) and really enjoying European cinema

Lately loving electronic music such as Bonobo, J. views, Massive Attack, and alternative Arabic music

Currently reading Malcolm X's Autobiography (fascinating!), but - I have to admit that still, the best book I've ever read is... the Harry Potter series! Show me another book that you can read 15 times and I'll be willing to re-think about it :P
