Well all about me - I hike, I like to eat and drink coffee, I like my kid and Fish Hoek where I live and I like to read lots of books.

PHILOSOPHY

Paranoia is a healthy choice in an unhealthy world. If you are getting on with everyone, the a-hole factor in your world will inevitably be high... I believe in whatever helps me get through the day in the best and happiest possible way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I havent participated yet - all I do is read what the rest of you are doing. It is mainly because my child is young and I am single and it is difficult to let people visit when you need to protect 'short' people from potential harm...me neurotic, psychotic prima donna mum?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in the 80s and 90s when I was travelling only it was arranged on the lam (on the go) as there was no internet... also with family, friends of family, hardly friends at all of family and it was always the best and most friendliest way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

i like my movies, books and music to be interesting - very - recently started listening to primal scream - great group - also like flight of the concords. Books - Amanda and the million mile high dancer ... movies - anything with odd eccentric types in it... art house movies or if I have to associate with normals - then kids movies especially anime ones are absolutely brilliant

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the sun come up every day of my life - this is a miraculous something - I have seen it rain all the days of my life (in season) and this is a miracle - I have felt the words of the world on my skin writing reality bit by bit every day and this is miraculous

Teach, Learn, Share

It is when you are in real trouble and almost at the end of your tether that your faith in a higher power will peak (and miracles will be seen to work) - even if only in retrospect... that is the true joy of taking off into the blue wonder - that sensation of freefall - look ma no hands --- and the wholehearted givingness of the universe in that mode of living..
