About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be open to all opportunities that come my way

ABOUT ME

I have lived in three different places in my life, and possibly about to move to a fourth. I recently graduated from college and moved away from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have not yet determined where my next destination will be but I am currently traveling around Europe (something that I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember). Travel has always been one of my passions and I am so happy that I finally get to fully experience it. I'm a very social person and love meeting new people and learning new things. I am very passionate when it comes to the people I love and the things I care about, and if I have a set goal I will usually try whatever it takes to make it happen.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a firm believer that if you expect good things then good things will happen to you.
Instead of reliving your memories, try to create new ones.
Good company, good drinks, and good music are the only things you need for a good time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had the opportunity to host anyone yet but I can't wait to start as soon I settle down somewhere :) I try to be the best surfer I can be and leave my hosts with new knowledge and some positive thoughts!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had my first couchsurfing experiences this summer and hopefully will continue to have some more. I am in love with the concept, the people and the experiences are even better than I imagined :)

Interests

I love to go out and have a good time, most importantly with good company. I believe that it doesn't matter where you are in the world as long as you are surrounded by great people. Trying things for the first time and crossing things off my never-ending yet nonexistent bucket list is one of my greatest pleasures in life :)
The beach is my favorite place to be in the world and is where I am most relaxed, there is something about sand and water coming together that makes my heart flutter with joy haha :P

Music, Movies, and Books

I like animated movies because they make me smile and remind me of simpler times.
I am open to many types of music, but my favorites are alternative and electronic, some really mellow stuff too for when I want to relax. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Sia, The Do, Radiohead, Calvin Harris, Florence+The Machine, Santigold, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Peter Bjorn & John, Jose Gonzalez and the list goes on...:)
I'm an English Lit major and instead of gaining a clearer understanding of my taste in books my major made it even harder for me to choose a favorite. One of my favorites are Margaret Atwood's A Handmaid's Tale and Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Authors: Hemingway, Paulo Coelho, Zadie Smith, Najuib Mahfouz...
I also love travel literature of all kinds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This might not seem very significant to some people, but one of the most amazing moments for me was seeing a shooting star for the first time. It was while I was in the Sinai coast in Egypt which is one of my favorite places in the world. Because of how secluded and dark the area was, I saw at least six or seven more shooting stars that night which felt very magical and it was the ideal place to experience such a thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love language and can teach conversational Arabic in a variety of dialects. There are so many languages that I'm interested in so if given the opportunity, I'd be happy to immerse myself and learn basically any language!
I have always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, so I would be open to that as well even though it might be too late for me :P
As I said before I love learning new things from people in general so I always enjoy listening to people talk about history, different cultures, new places etc.
