About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I need a break - realized, that I like to escape from my job for a while so that I can explore the world and realize what I should do in the future what makes more sense for me and also for other people.
ABOUT ME
Spontaneous, flexible, easy-going, sometimes a bit crazy, I like being in the nature very much
I enjoy to explore new countries and I also like to be off the beaten track.
Many years ago, I worked in the tourism industry so that I had the chance to get very low priced airtickets. - The last years I had a hard job in the marketing field, unfortuanely I had no opportunity to go on a longer trip. But that time is over -> now I am going on the road again...
I don't like to make very fixed plans, I am a more spontaneous person.I enjoy the life in countries where not everything is so well organized, so that it keeps more space for being individually.
PHILOSOPHY
life is too short - enjoy it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just registered in September 2012, from this October to May 13 I will be in south America. Afterwards couchsurfers are also welcomed at my flat.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a newbie. - It's very cool to meet new people from different countries so that we can share our ideas of life. It's a great idea!!!
Interests
Activities in nice landscapes as trekking or cycling or just a nice picknick. Enjoy some culture in the cities (rock concert) or just have a beer with nice people.
I also like to be off the beaten track, means I don't want to do only the typical sightseeing stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As there was no bus, I was hitchhiking in Guatemala... That area was not mentioned in my guide book, so I did not know, how long it would take to reach the next town... My first stop was at a small indigenous village... where I could join a pick-up car with many farmers...a couple of villages later, I had to move to a cattle truck which I shared with many other farmers, old women, children and some pigs.... after 8 hours I reached the next town....I felt very tired, but it was very special to see the nice landscape and the culture like that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I just try to learn some basic words in portuguese so that I can get along better.
