About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving $$$$ for winter wandering.

ABOUT ME

I am 26 but I feel like I have been roaming this earth for thousands of years., I love music, science, the outdoors, fine art, and not so fine art. I am very out going, but I can be shy at first. I am very easy going and sensitive. I like to accommodate those around me. I don't like making others uncomfortable, example if someone doesn't like a certain genre of music, then you don't make them listen to it. It is all about the ambience. People tell me I am smart. I suppose I got good grades, but I am easily distracted. I love eating good food, but I like junk food just as much. Have been living in mexico the past 2.5 years, studying plant medicine. I lost about 50 pounds, and drastically changed my outlook on life. I embody cat energy, and I think dogs are only as smart as their owners, if they are lucky.

PHILOSOPHY

Live for today. I am a pretty abstract person. I think the internal universe is greater than anything in the physical or external world.

Imagination is the strongest force in the universe.

Dreams are real. Reality is a dream. I think that dreams are the most important part of our conscious experience. I say that in dreams are the least understood part of our lives, but they play such a huge role. People talk about living your dreams, follow your dreams, write down your dreams. That was a crazy dream... But what do they mean? This is what I am talking about. If you have ever had a dream that seemed so real, then you know and will agree with me that there really can't be much difference between the waking world and dreaming world. From the point of view of, lets say the soul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am living on the North Atlantic right now minutes from an epic surf break and beach. I am working from home and am able to host surfers , on my couch and also on the waves. I am mobile and am in Halifax during the week at least a few days so hit me up if you want to come hang out at the beach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a few couch surfers that have been staying with friends in Calgary before I moved to mexico and while I was back in Canada visiting. My buddies were getting couch surfers every weekend and when I was in town visiting I got to go out partying with their aussie house guests, it was a laugh riot. I like to go out and party, but I like staying in just as much. Recently I met a couch surfer, not couch surfing, but someone who had couch surfed her way across Europe and we were inseparable while we travelled mexico together. She is a pretty spectacular person and I was lucky to be in her company.

Interests

Surfing ( on waves ). I like all board sports. I love Chemistry, biology, sciences of all kinds. Botany is of a huge interest to me. I think plants are supremely intelligent and we can learn a lot from them and their approach to life. Diet and nutrition have become huge interests of mine in the past few years. I am really into juicing, nothing beats fresh vegetable juices, but of course good old Grapefruit is my favorite. In mexico I was running a juice delivery service and watermelon was one of my favorites. Also the medicinal juices that I was pushing, turmeric, ginger, and green juice of any kind are great for digestion and overall health and wellness. You have to start with small doses and titrate up, and juice will change your life.

I am very into the mountains, climbing, and alpine sports. Hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, and everything in-between. When I was younger I used to read a lot of books on climbing stories, especially about everest and other himalayan peaks. Touching the Void of course is an all time favorite book.

I like all genres of music, and while I am not really an expert on music I know a good song when I hear one. I mostly listen to hip hop, rock, alternative, electronic, dance, and anything live. But that being said I can get down to just about anything that can be considered music.

All time favorites... Alice in Wonderland. Soylent Green. Braveheart. A clockwork orange. The Deer hunter.

I just watched A Cat in Paris, winner of an academy award for best animation , I loved it.

Books. Be here Now. Kingdom of Fear by HST. Terence Mckenna.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at the Mayan Ruins in Palenque Mexico in December 2012.

I went sky diving over Las Vegas in 2009.

I have been to Tokyo, Seoul, NYC, Chicago, Mexico City, and Amsterdam.
These days I prefer small towns to big cities.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a student of plant medicines. I have studied a few extensively, in high school I smoked a lot of pot and didn't know why. These days I am more respectful in my use, or at least I try to be. I have been working with and learning about my body and how to best fuel it for what seems like forever. There are definite tricks to make this human organism run at peak performance depending on planned activities.
