About Me

I'm currently finishing a paper on plant-based farm transitions for a master's in sociology. I've been a vegan most of my life and have been involved in animal rights activism for the past several years. I previously worked in the mental health field after receiving my BA in sociology at UC Davis. I used to teach poetry workshops to k-12th grade and have had a variety of teaching assistant roles and student support positions.

I love hiking and plan to go on at least one hike in every city I travel to. I've been more committed to learning about Buddhism and practicing meditation lately, which has been a longtime interest of mine. I am interested in reducing suffering in the world through public policy work and also in my relationships with others.

I'm new to photography and plan to document my travels through this medium.

I'm a very open person and enjoy having long conversations about life, philosophy, culture, scientific progress, and anything else that might be of interest to others. If you have any questions about me, feel free to message and ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I am in a unique position where I am working remotely on my university work for the next couple of months before graduating. I am going through changes in my life and find it the perfect opportunity to travel, learn, and create new experiences.

I plan to visit family in Heidelberg, Germany starting May 9th through May 26th and then will be traveling to nearby countries from there.
