About Me

Hello! My name is Augusto (but you can also call me Guto), I'm new here, but I'm excited to be a part of the Couchsurfing community. I'm a Civil Engineer from Brazil, and I love exploring new cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and sharing experiences.

I'm a friendly and open-minded individual who enjoys meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee/ beer or exploring the local cuisine / nature of the places I visit. I'm always up for an adventure, whether it's hiking through nature trails, exploring historic sites, or simply wandering around to discover hidden gems.

As a host, I strive to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for my guests, offering them insights into the local culture and helping them make the most out of their stay. Likewise, as a guest, I'm respectful of others' space and belongings, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life.

In my free time, you can find me exercising, travelling, or simply enjoying the company of friends and loved ones. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow Couchsurfers, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable memories together!

If you have any questions or would like to know more about me, feel free to send me a message.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of cultural exchange and connecting with people from around the world. Traveling is not just about visiting new places; it's about immersing yourself in different cultures, learning from others, and creating meaningful connections along the way.

I love the idea of staying with locals or hosting travelers because it allows me to experience a destination through the eyes of those who call it home. It's about more than just finding a place to sleep; it's about sharing stories, traditions, and experiences that enrich my journey in ways that no guidebook ever could.

Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to break down barriers, foster understanding, and build friendships that transcend borders. Whether I'm hosting someone in my hometown or surfing someone else's couch halfway across the world, I cherish the moments of connection and the memories we create together.

I believe that the world is a better place when we open our hearts and our homes to others, and Couchsurfing allows me to do just that. So, if you're looking for a place to stay or simply want to connect over a cup of coffee, I'm here to welcome you with open arms and share in the adventure of travel and discovery.

Let's make the world a little smaller and a lot more welcoming, one couch at a time!
