Howdy! My name is Braelyn Dale. I'm currently 19 years old and attending Minot State University as a member of the Men's Basketball Team. I have citizenship from both the Netherlands and Australia, and I have lived in 5 different countries throughout my life. I was born in Hanoi Vietnam and have spent majority of my life travelling around the world alongside my parents work as International School Teachers. I always had a dream to play basketball professionally, and in 2023 I was fortunate enough to receive an offer to play basketball at Minot State University, NCAA Division 2. I am studying for a bachelor's degree in finance and hope to someday use my international background to enter the workforce for a global company like the UN and DHL if basketball ultimately falls through. I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, and staying active which usually involves some type of sport. I spent the last few years of my high school time at Christ Church Grammar School in Perth, Western Australia, where I was selected as a student leader for sport and a student leader within the Boarding community, because I was living away from home. I am very independent, having lived away from my parents from the age of 14, and I am able to cook, clean, and take care of myself very well. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My physical house is actually in Nairobi Kenya, where my parents work as teachers at the International School of Kenya, so during the summer periods of May-August when I have summer holidays I meet up with my parents in either the Netherlands or Australia, depending on various situations. The proximity of the Netherlands to the US (where I study) is usually better, so I usually look to reside in the Netherlands during the summer season. We don't have a permanent residence in the Netherlands, and usually end up staying with my extended family for long periods of time. In the summer of 2023, I got a job at Baia Beach club in Scheveningen, The Hague (Netherlands) where I worked full time for the entire summer. This year (2024), I aim to do the same and potentially add another job on the side to earn some more money over the summer. To do this, I am in need of a Place to stay for the entirety of June and July, where I can base myself to get to work and nearby shops.
