About Me

I am person with a wide range of interests. I love sports, plant-based cooking, self-education, good reads about holistic medicine, having conversations about life and getting to know other people and learn from their experience. In general, I enjoy trying out new things, new sports, new foods or indulging in any absorption of new information and foods for thought. Besides seeking any kind of spiritual impulses, I like to contemplate about my life journey and about pursuing my life goals, as well as planning future adventures. The current adventure lies right ahead of me.

At the moment, I am working at a friend’s café. Half a year ago, my friend opened a little café, Kittchen, in Cologne, a 10 minute walk from CGN's main station. It is fun to be part of the creation of something new and see it growing and evolving. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Groningen (NL). During my studies, I spent a semester abroad in Zacatecas, México, which was one of the best experiences I have ever made. Infinite laughter, great friendships, pachamama at its best. After high school, I lived in Valencia, Venezuela. This experience, too, was very significant in terms of my personal growth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING MINDSET
First, I love the CS slogan of traveling "like a local"! While seeing new places, absorbing unknown nature and eating new food, it is most enjoyable when connecting with the people who live at those places. That is when you learn most.
Although I still do not have a lot of declared references on the CS platform, I have already invited a lot of people to my family's house or to my flat when I was a student.
Only just two weeks ago, I received two travelers to my family house. Occasionally, I receive people from Latin America or friends of friends. Last summer, I received three super cheerful guys that I haven't known before; a dear friend of mine put us in contact and they stayed for a couple of days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fortunately, when traveling, I almost always had the chance to stay at some local place, either are they friends or friends of friends. I am really easy-going and simple, as long as I have a tiny place where I can sleep, I am totally fine and grateful forever.

RECEIVING GUESTS
Even though I'd really enjoy to receive travelers more frequently, my father's Alzheimer disease puts a burden to it. Due to my current living circumstances , I can only receive guests occasionally.

My music taste is pretty ample. I am not really good at movies, since it takes me several days/nights to watch movies till the end. Regarding books, I love socio-critical, health and mind-stimulating books.
