About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm living in a beautiful part of Portugal, near the mountains in a quiet village very close to a town called Seia and I'm enjoying life in the countryside with plenty of projects here to keep me busy. Right now I'm into gardening and developing my garden space which includes a number of trees.

ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous person keen to always make the most of my situation and to find real purposes in my life.
Since moving to Portugal and changing my work pattern, I haven't looked back. I worked overseas in South Korea and Mexico for some years which were amazing experiences, leaving me with so many great memories. My children who have since left home, have been my compass most of my life but now I find myself with relative freedom. My daughter is also in Portugal and lives not too far away.

I also like writing and often find myself writing poetry when I have time to sit and contemplate. In fact I'm generally a creative person and although I may not be expert in any artistic area, I like dabbling with many forms of art.

I used to enjoy dancing a lot, especially salsa but also tango and considering learning flamenco. Dancing opportunities, apart from the living room, are quite limited here compared to other places I've lived.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy being alive, treat others with respect and never stop growing.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Sound of Music
The Jungle Book
Swiss Family Robinson
I love listening to all kinds of music but not so much pop or commercial, apart from some hits of the 60s and 80s. I like to listen to music from different parts of the world and films for that matter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

Improving my Portuguese is my number one priority so any opportunities to speak the language are more than welcome.

I can share my English language, teach cooking and baking skills. Also other home skills like knitting, sewing and crochet.
I can show you some of the countryside, towns and villages locally.
