About Me

I am here because I love to meet new people and places, share culture and ideas and I believe that with every person I connect I get more consciousness about myself and the world.

Just came back from a 2 month workaway experience at an hostel in Bulgaria and I am excited to be back to Faro and be able to host again! 🙌

There is a saying that would fit in this description and that I really like
"With age comes wisdom, with traveling comes understanding".

If you send me a request you can call me Ricky and I know that you read my profile 🧐

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started my couchsurfing experience at the beginning of April 2016 because a friend of mine did it and told me it was an awesome opportunity to meet lots of interesting people and share priceless moments, so I started doing it with him as an host and then after a while I created my own profile and started hosting people on my own.
Lots of people tought I was crazy back then because of that, and most of them still do 😂

Interests

The main areas of my interest are sports, music and nature, but I'm an open person, interested in many subjects and always trying to learn more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2016 travelled for about 1 week with 2 friends to small historical villages and nature places in Portugal by foot, did wild camping and met lots of interesting local people and magical places hidden from the regular travelers.

After hosting more than 100 people on couchsurfing for 5 years straight in 2021 I went on a 20 days trip trough Europe only using the power of couchsurfing, meeting and being hosted by people I have hosted before and getting to know a lot of amazing new people everywhere.

Quit my job and travel in 2023/2024 🤩

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play the guitar, have some cooking skills and can share some advices about that.

Know well Algarve region and Alentejo so I can give some advices on where to go and what to do.

Besides that I can share with you my good energy and experience on couchsurfing and travelling.

I can't stand people that think they are better than the others, and I try to live my life by principles such as "Treat the others the way you would like to be treated" and "Be the change you wish to see in the world" Mahatma Gandhi ✌🏼❤
